Observation and Scrutiny [Silver, optical glass and found objects, stop motion animation], Wendy Leah Dawson, 2011/12

A series of work exploring the relationship between observer and object, the process of study and the mechanics of investigation. These items form part of a wider investigation into scientific instruments, camera mechanisms and the aesthetic of tools and devices. These wearable mechanisms are all kinetic, moving with the wearer, and in a manner befitting the function of observation. Winner of the 2012 Welsh Artist of the Year Student Award.
